Historia prześladowań Żydów z Vire (we francuskiej Normandii) popadła w zapomnienie po II wojnie światowej. Zainicjowany w 2010 roku projekt "Mémoire vir(e)tuelle" [Pamięć vir(e)tualna] ma na celu wydobycie tej przeszłości. Z Lublina do Vire, z pobliskiego Neuville do Auschwitz - losy Dory, Rywki i Dawida pozwalają przedstawić tę konkretną, lokalną historię w kontekście historii Żydów francuskich i historii Zagłady w Europie. Zadaniem projektu jest umożliwienie młodszej generacji zrozumienia historii Holocaustu oraz rozwijanie praktyk pamięci w Vire.
